The year is coming to an end fast and STAR testing will be next week. Have your student get a good sleep and a great breakfast. I am sure they will all do great! Now for this weeks schedule.
Math: We will be working on geometry this week.
Language Arts: We will be working on vocabulary, reading Tom Sayer, writing stories, and starting our Ancient Greek projects.

I am excited to see what they come up with.

Welcome Back
Hello Everybody!
I hope everyone had a great break. I was thinking we all needed it. We are nearing the end of the year and still have a ton to get done. Family Fun Night is this Thursday (April 8th) and we will be discussing Biz Town as well as how much is still owed for Science Camp.
Now for what we are doing this week (April 5th-April 9th):
Language Arts:
We are starting our final drafts of our stories this week. We will also be working on our normal vocabulary and grammar. Please do not forget about wordlywise.com. We are book 6 on lesson 19. Everyone is doing an excellent job on their vocabulary tests. We are going to be working on our resumes as well.
Math:
We are going to do a little review on Monday and then move on to sales tax and sales. Do not be afraid to ask your student while on a shopping trip how much an item is if it is on sale. We will also be learning about check books and balances.
Ancient Civilization:
We are finishing up Rome this week. Next week on Tuesday the 13th we are having a Roman expert come in. He is going to bring in real armor as well as some weapons. The students and I are all very excited for this. Feel free to come and join us on this day and feel free to send your student with a camera.
Science:
This week we are learning about the scientific method and will be performing our own experiments.
As you can see we have a busy busy week ahead of us. We have a lot to learn. I am so excited about this week because all that we are learning can be used in the real world right now. If anyone has any questions or comments feel free to reach me at any time. Have a great week!
